Jodie Baldwin spent her childhood drawing and looking forward to a career in the visual fine arts, then followed with formal training at the University of Kansas.  During a 15 year period in New Mexico and Texas she spent teaching drawing and painting she became fascinated with the use of watercolor to portray light, emotion and myriand of value and intensity ranges.  Jodie prefers to paint on location if possible.  Her subject matter is often McKinney's Historic Downtown Square, fishing harbors of the Texas Gulf Coast and European Scenes.  Mentors are Irvin Shapiro, Bud Biggs, Rob Erdle, Joseph Bohler and  John Salminen.  Jodie's artwork has been accepted in group exhibits in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Italy and can be found in Corporate as well as private collections throughout the United States.  Jodie is a signature member of Southwestern Watercolor Society.
