Opening Reception and Meet The Artist will be May 11, 7:00 - 10:00 pm

Although a Science major at SMU Trudy Whitney always  had a passion for art. Nearly 30
years later she became a student of Garret Art Gallery's co-owner, Clara Stovall.  Now after 10
years of study, Trudy paints with ease and confidence on her own.  Her inspiration comes from the
seasonal colors, native trees and gardens that grace husband Bill and Trudy's wooded acreage
on their ranch in North Texas.  It would seem art runs in Trudy's veins as her mother Eloise
painted professionally, her late brother Frederick was a sculptor, and her daughter, Corinne,
 is an interior designer.

feelings through her paintings, she brings the
Texas Countryside to life. Her Bluebonnet

of her paintings have been reproduced as
limited edition paints, including a Best of Show
